Role Objective:
The main purpose is overseeing the daily operations in Sales and Marketing Department through planning and budgeting for achievement of the organization’s sales targets.
Key tasks and Performance areas
- Researching and developing workable marketing opportunities and plans.
- Presenting, promoting and selling Society’s products (Yoghurt, Lala, Pouch fresh milk & Bulk pasteurized milk) using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Gathering market intelligence on competitors’ activities, environmental factors and advising the Management on the best strategies to take to overcome the anticipated challenges.
- Identifying, retaining and expanding new markets for the Society’s products (Yoghurt, Lala, Pouch fresh milk & Bulk pasteurized milk) and continuously maximize on sales.
- Liaising with the Logistics Department to ensure that customers get products on time so as to guarantee market stability.
- Liaising with the Production Department to ensure Society’s products (Yoghurt, Lala, Pouch fresh milk & Bulk pasteurized milk) are of good quality, quantity and consistently supplied.
- Liaising with Accounts Department to ensure all sales proceeds are remitted promptly.
- Ensuring that all credit customers have proper documentation for timely debt collection hence realization of revenue for the company.
- Maintaining customer’s records and keeping track to ensure customer retention.
- Leading and supervising the sales team while ensuring the sales targets are achieved.
- Participating in recruitment of new Sales & Marketing staff and where necessary conduct the relevant trainings.
- Ensure proper handling of Society’s sales vehicle assigned to you and the team.
- Any other duties assigned to you by your superior.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Business Management/Administration with at least 3 years’ experience as a Sales Supervisor in a Dairy/Food Industry.
- Knowledge of Computer skills (MS Office).
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Must be presentable and well groomed.
- Driving skills with a valid driving license.
