During my leadership and management skills training, Grace, a communications manager asked me; ‘’Is leading and managing a team the same thing?’’

Grace had just joined a new firm. The team she was leading was going through changes because some employees were let go and they had to take up more responsibilities resulting to miscommunication on who was responsible for what which led to a lot of conflict resulting to unproductivity and low morale leading to poor results.

Grace wanted to know which hat to wear for this scenario; to ensure the team get things done or influence and motivate them while enabling them to produce results?
