TSA Unit Accountant Job Salvation Army
Looking for an accounting job in Kenya? Salvation Army is hiring TSA unit accountant to conduct budget preparation, comparison and monitoring. The role is based in Thika and knowledge of accounting software is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Posting TSA Unit incomes, expenses, inter-unit transactions, supplier invoices, and sales invoices in NetSuite accounting system
- Processing supplier payments and making bank deposits in NetSuite.
- Journal processing and updating trading inventory status.
- Performing monthly end closure procedures and preparing monthly/annual financial reports.
- Processing monthly bank reconciliations
- Executing financial year-end procedures.
- Budget preparation, comparison and monitoring.
- Supporting IFAS developments and enhancements related to the TSA Unit Accountant role.
- Following IFAS directives.
- Assisting with other duties relating to finance and accounting functions, as assigned by the Centre Manager, IFAS Champion and Secretary for Business Administration.
Qualifications
- Minimum CPA Section 4 professional accounting qualification.
- At least 3 years’ professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong numerical ability, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
- Good technical and IT skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Having a thorough understanding of child protection and safeguarding
- A strong Christian background.
