Our client is an expansive conservancy in Laikipia on the rugged edge of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, with sweeping views overlooking Lake Baringo, and across the iconic ecosystem of the Laikipia Plateau, to the slopes of Mount Kenya and beyond. They are looking for a dynamic, self-reliant professional with excellent communication and coordination skills to join the team as a HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Directors the person will oversee the all the HR activities for the conservancy.

Key responsibilities: –

• Oversee HR operations and maintain staff personnel files
• Prepare weekly HR reports and performance metrics
• Conduct staff appraisals and manage promotions with management
• Draft employment contracts and waivers for junior staff
• Ensure compliance with Kenya’s labor laws and regulations
• Manage attendance tracking and verify muster roll accuracy
• Coordinate staff leave schedules and off-schedule work plans
• Process NHIF and NSSF employee registration and compliance
• Handle insurance claims processing and follow-up procedures

Qualifications and Competencies

• A Bachelor’s degree or Higher diploma in Human Resource Management.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Human Resources.
• Must be a current member of IHRM.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office.
• Working knowledge of the Employment Act and current labor laws.
• Strong administrative management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Passion for CONSERVATION.
