The Controller shall undertake the monitoring of Surveillance systems and other security systems. Core duties shall include:
- Booking all incidents in the systems.
- Maintaining surveillance of the surrounding areas with a view of detecting suspicious activities.
- Operating, maintenance and monitoring all security systems within the Control centre in an efficient manner
- Monitor the alarms and cause the Response teams to respond to distress calls immediately.
- Effectively monitoring and patrolling via view screens and taking any remedial or immediate action and notification as appropriate to events seen.
- Monitoring the surveillance systems, CCTV, tracking systems, alarms and other security equipment and initiate incident response as appropriate within laid down response and escalation procedures.
- Communicating with other departments, external agencies or the public in a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Maintaining secure system by providing data in accordance with the regulations set up by the organization and ensuring the security of the control room and equipment is maintained at all times.
- Monitor and radio call all sub-stations and ensure they are alert at all times.
- Carrying out regular equipment checks and report equipment failure to the relevant supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies or any other relevant degree.
- Tech savvy with good working knowledge of computers
- Experience in CCTv surveillance
- Good command of English language including Phonetic language
- Previous work experience serving as a Controller under private security industry is a Must
- Training in CCTv monitoring shall be an added advantage
