Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution in Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry, Ethnobotany, Plant Taxonomy, Biotechnology, or Applied Biology.
• Demonstrated Understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and quality control principles
• Demonstrated experience with the extraction, identification, and basic analysis of phytochemicals
• Computer literacy

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and standardize botanical specimens for teaching and research
• Execute phytochemical extraction procedures and preliminary phytochemical screening
• Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment
• Assist in organizing and conducting practical sessions
• Manage laboratory inventory
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice
• Support faculty in conducting research
