Position Overview:

• A three Star Restaurant located in Nakuru CBD. We are seeking an experienced cook with strong skills in Indian, Chinese, and Continental cuisine to prepare high-quality meals, maintain kitchen standards, and support the culinary team in delivering excellent dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Skills

• Solid knowledge of cooking techniques
• Ability to prepare variety of dishes consistently
• Understanding of flavor combinations, seasoning & presentation Knowledge of different cuisines

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Knowledge of food safety standards
• Cleanliness & personal hygiene
• Understanding of cross-contamination prevention
• Compliance with local health regulations

Attention to Detail

• Follow recipes accurately Ensuring quality & consistence
• Maintain portion control

Time Management & Teamwork

• Ability to work efficiently
• Meeting service deadlines during busy hours
• Ability to teamwork.

Creativity

• Ability to suggest new dishes or improvements
• Adapting recipes when needed

Adaptability

• Flexibility with shifts
• Ability to handle situations like rush hours, shortages etc

Qualification Requirements

•  Culinary training or relevant experiences
• Certificates in food safety
• Basic literacy for recipes, measurements
