Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

• Maintaining workshop inventories by receiving and issuing tools and materials, and ensuring sufficient materials are available in the workshop;
• Observing and ensuring that health and safety procedures are practised and
• Providing technical support during training; enforced;
• Ensuring proper usage, safe custody and inventory of kits, tools and equipment;
• Undertaking repairs and maintenance in the area of specialization within the Institution;
• Providing procurement specifications for all workshop equipment to be purchased.
• Ensuring general cleanliness of the work area

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:

• A Diploma in Building Technology and a Craft Certificate in Masonry;
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience;
• Computer literacy (recommended for consistency with similar positions).
