Responsibilities
Client Management & Relationship Ownership
- Serve as the main point of contact for key recruitment clients.
- Lead client briefings, clarify role expectations, and align hiring plans.
- Build trust-based relationships with stakeholders, including C-suite executives and hiring managers.
- Maintain regular communication, reporting, and candidate debriefs throughout the search process.
Executive Search Delivery
- Manage the end-to-end process for senior-level and executive roles.
- Conduct market research and competitor mapping to identify top-tier candidates.
- Deliver high-quality shortlists, candidate write-ups, and salary benchmarks.
- Guide candidates through the recruitment process with professionalism and confidentiality.
Sourcing Strategy & Candidate Engagement
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies including:
- Boolean search, direct outreach, talent mapping, and referrals.
- Build a pipeline of senior talent across industries and regions.
- Engage candidates with high-quality outreach and position messaging.
- Maintain detailed tracking of sourcing progress and candidate status in the ATS.
- Team Collaboration & Process Ownership
- Coordinate with internal recruiters or junior sourcers when necessary.
- Ensure all candidate documentation, notes, and client updates are clean and organized.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance delivery quality and speed.
Revenue Growth and Business Development
- Work closely with the Business Development team to:
- Scope new client mandates and support proposal development
- Join select pitch calls as a delivery expert
- Translate hiring needs into clear project plans
- Identify upsell opportunities within existing client accounts
- Leverage your own network to identify and engage potential new clients
- Proactively recommend ways to increase client value and satisfaction through high-quality recruitment delivery
Qualifications & Experience
- 4–6+ years in recruitment, with at least 2 years in executive search or senior-level hiring
- Experience closing director, VP, or C-level roles in Africa or global markets
- Strong experience working with founders, C-suite leaders, and hiring teams
- Skilled in headhunting, passive sourcing, Boolean search, and market mapping
- Proven ability to build and nurture a network of potential clients or partners
- Comfortable supporting or leading in client pitches, scope setting, and proposal delivery
- Track record of contributing to revenue generation or account expansion
- Bonus: exposure to retained search models or agency recruitment structures
