Sr Ass Director – Paediatric Surgeon Job Machakos CPSB, Machakos, Kenya
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnosing, monitoring and treating children who are injured, ill or living with disabilities
- Performing comprehensive examinations on newborns and children to identify abnormalities and checking for normal growth and development
- Prescribing treatment methods, including administering medication, performing surgeries and other therapies
- Discussing diagnosis and treatment plans with parents and children
- Ordering tests and referring patients to Specialists
- Advising patients and their family members on medication use, nutrition and preventive measures
- Creating patients’ medical reports to support other healthcare professionals
Requirements for Appointment
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B:Ch.B) degree from a recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Masters in Pediatrics and Child Health
- Diagnose diseases such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and prostate problems
- Evaluating patient history, conducting physical examinations (e.g., prostate exams), ordering lab tests (e.g., PSA), and performing imaging studies or biopsies.
- Performing both major and minimally invasive surgeries (e.g., robotic-assisted surgery, laser techniques, cystoscopy).
- Treating cancers of the bladder, kidney, prostate, and testicles.
- Providing consultations, developing personalized treatment plans, and performing follow-up care.
