Professor /Lecturer — Medical Surgical Nursing at Umma University
Faculty Positions (Lecturer to Professor) – Medical-Surgical Nursing at Umma University Teaches courses, conducts research, and mentors students in Medical-Surgical Nursing. Requires relevant Nursing degree/PhD, NCK license, teaching experience, rank-appropriate publications, and CUE alignment. Full-time.
Job Purpose
The Lecturer is responsible for delivering teaching and learning activities, conducting research, and contributing to academic program development within the Medical-Surgical Nursing subject area. The position supports curriculum delivery, student supervision, and scholarly research activities, providing quality teaching and supporting student academic development.
Qualifications Academic Qualifications
- PhD in Medical-Surgical Nursing or a closely related discipline from a recognized university,
OR
- A relevant Master’s degree registered for PhD candidature to be considered.
Professional Qualifications / Membership
- Registration and valid practicing status with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK), where applicable, and membership in relevant professional/academic bodies.
Relevant Work Experience
- 3 years’ university teaching or research experience is an added advantage, with evidence of research publications or academic research potential.
