Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this position, one MUST:

• Have Higher Diploma in Ultrasography and Diploma in Radiography and Imaging;
• Be registered and hold a valid annual practicing license from the RPB; and
• Have Professional membership by Society of Radiography in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound scans for obstetrics (pregnancy), gynecology, abdominal, pelvic, and small parts (thyroid, testes);
• Conducting vascular, heart and musculoskeletal imaging;
• Drafting preliminary diagnostic reports and communicating urgent “red flag” findings to the referring physician or radiologist;
• Prepare patients for various procedures and maintaining patient privacy;
• Follow general safety and infection control protocols; and
• Perform routine maintenance of the ultrasound machine and various probes.
