The opportunity

Nellions is looking for an experienced, decisive, and people-focused Operations Manager to lead all moving and storage operations. This is a critical role at the heart of our service delivery- responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing every job safely, on time, and to the quality standards our clients expect.

You will directly supervise the Client Service Executive, Warehouse Supervisor, Operations Assistant, and Movers, while working closely with Sales, Finance, Human Resource and the CEO to ensure a seamless end-to-end client experienc

Operations Planning & Execution

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all daily moving and storage operations. Allocate crews, vehicles, equipment, and packing materials. Manage end-to-end job execution- packing, loading, transit, unloading, and setup. Resolve live issues and lead complex, high-value moves with precision.

Storage Operations

  • Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, security, and dispatch of stored goods. Maintain accurate records, coordinate client visits, and ensure strict warehouse discipline.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Translate sales surveys into clear operational instructions. Collaborate with Sales, Client Service, and finance for smooth job handovers. Proactively identify and prevent service failures.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety standards, SOPs, and company policies across all operations. Ensure careful handling of fragile and high-value items. Investigate incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

People Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate drivers, movers, and operations staff. Manage staffing levels, enforce professional conduct, and coach teams using agreed KPIs. Spearhead OSH Evo and group culture initiatives.

Cost Control & Fleet Management

  • Monitor and control operational costs including fuel, overtime, and equipment use. Coordinate vehicle maintenance and fleet uptime. Liaise with transporters, suppliers, and international agents.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure accurate job documentation and operational records. Track and report KPIs and performance trends. Develop and enforce SOPs. Drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • A degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Transport and Logistics, Business Administration, and Project Management.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in an operational role within a labor-intensive, service industry.
  • A valid driving license, and an Understanding of the moving and relocations business is a strong advantage.
