Duties and Responsibilities

Job Grade: KP 8

• Guide and supervise pharmacology Practicals in the polytechnic
• Guide and supervise pharmacy practice and dispensing trainees Practicals
• Guide and supervise analytical chemistry Practical.
• Maintain inventory records in the pharmaceuticals laboratory.
• Carry out requisitions for pharmaceutical practicals.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment and machines in the laboratory.
• Carry out proper handling and disposal of laboratory wastes.

Requirements, the applicant should:

• Have a diploma in pharmaceutical technology or Analytical chemistry or Applied biology or medical laboratory.
• Be Registered member of a regulatory board
• Have a current practicing license.
• Have at least 2 years’ experience in the field of pharmacy/analytical laboratory/pharmacology laboratory.
• Registration by pharmacy and poisons board is added advantage.
