Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V. and its partners work with vulnerable communities to achieve sustainable food and nutrition security. Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V. Kenya is currently seeking to recruit qualified and motivated personnel as listed below contingent upon the final approval of funding. The duty station will be either Lokitaung or Lodwar.
Qualifications
To qualify as a Logistics Officer, one must possess the following:
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supplies or a degree in a related field from a recognized institution of learning
- Minimum of 3–4 years of progressive experience in stock control, procurement, fleet management—preferably from an NGO
- Valid Membership of KISM is desirable
- Knowledge of donor procurement rules and regulations is an advantage
- Good analytical and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail
- High professional integrity and team player
- Computer literate and good command of Excel
- Good command of English
- Good negotiation skills
- Willing to work long hours when necessary
- Physically able to frequently lift and carry materials
- Experience in fleet management and vehicle tracking systems in humanitarian settings
