Overall purpose of the job: Reporting to the Laboratory In-Charge, the incumbent will be responsible for performing laboratory-based scientific medical investigations to provide laboratory diagnosis.

Key responsibilities:

• Registration, collection and processing of client samples within the limits of specific tests
• Communication of laboratory results to the internal and external customers
• Maintain high standards of quality laboratory practice by the use of proper reagents, well-calibrated machines, and a clean working environment
• Observe efficient usage of reagents, glassware and equipment
• Preparation of laboratory reports
• Participation in internal QC programmes and logging in the appropriate registers

Position requirements and other competencies:

• A diploma in Medical Laboratory Science
• Must have a registration certificate from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologist Board
• At least two (2) years of appropriate experience in medical laboratory functions
• ICT competency
• Excellent customer service
• Self-motivated and a team player
• Pleasant personality
