Indoor Sales Representative Job

Our client, a specialist in analytical equipment supply, installation, training, and maintenance, is looking for an enthusiastic internal sales executive to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sales background in the analytical industry.

Role purpose: The Indoors Sales Representative is responsible for interacting with potential and existing customers through emails, telephone calls, and live website chats to persuade them to purchase companies’ products and services as well as follow up on inbound email and telephone inquiries. He/she will be updating the CRM system on a regular basis, upselling and cross-selling to existing customers. The Indoor Sales Representative should also be able to conduct research on market trends and competitors’ products, to successfully generate qualified leads, create suitable quotes, and process purchase orders.

  • Advising customers on suitable product selection based on their needs and specifications.
  • Processing customers’ purchase orders and liaising with the logistics department to ensure the timely delivery of ordered products.
  • Liaising with the technical team to ensure timely installations of equipment.
  • Maintaining working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
  • Following up on sales inquiries that are made by potential customers through website chats, emails, and inbound calls.
  • Preparation of tender documents as per tender requirements.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Gathering current marketplace information on newly introduced products, delivery, schedules, pricing and merchandising techniques in order to monitor competition.
  • Supplying sales manager with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services.
  • Maintaining long-lasting relationships with existing customers through exceptional sales service.
  • Actively sourcing new sales opportunities through cold-calling and emailing.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of product features and benefits.
  • Utilizing virtual meetings to build relationships with new customers.
  • Setting up face-to-face meetings between potential customers and Outdoor Sales Representatives.
  • Processing new orders in the CRM system and updating the existing orders as necessary.
  • Managing and maintaining quotation files.
  • Following through on the sales documentations for clients.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.

Key skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Sales and marketing or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • At least two years’ experience in sales or Customer Service in an organization dealing in industrial equipment.
  • Must have good computer skills and proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
