Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Indian Chef located in Nairobi. The Indian Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, planning menus, and ensuring the highest food quality and presentation standards. Daily tasks include sourcing fresh ingredients, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The role also involves collaborating with the restaurant team to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cooking Indian cuisine, including a variety of regional dishes
- Expertise in menu planning and ingredient sourcing
- Strong skills in kitchen management and staff supervision
- Commitment to food quality, presentation, and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant culinary education or equivalent experience
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Multilingual ability, especially knowledge of English and Hindi, is a plus
