ICT Officer (Systems Administrator) Job
Minimum Qualifications
For this grade, an officer must have:
Bachelor’s degree in either of the following:
- Information Communication Technology
- Mathematics and Computer Science
- Information Science
- Business Information Technology
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Linux Professional
- CompTIA A+
- Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA)
- At least three (3) years’ working experience in an institution of learning or a busy environment (added advantage)
- A valid Certificate of Good Conduct
- Strong technical skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities
- Carrying out systems analysis, design, and program specifications in liaison with users
- Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining systems
- Ensuring adherence to established ICT standards
- Supervising installation certification, repairs, and maintenance of ICT equipment and peripherals
- Recommending and supervising hardware/software specifications for ICT equipment
- Evaluating and recommending the suitability of ICT equipment
- Performing system security audits and monitoring
- Performing daily security backups and restores
- Maintenance of CCTV, telephones, and internet
- Providing technical assistance to end users for hardware, software, and network issues
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Developing and implementing backup strategies to safeguard critical data
- Managing database servers, ensuring data availability and security
- Any other duty assigned by the Council Secretary/Chief Principal
