Tropical Heat is one of East Africa’s leading FMCG manufacturers, building bold, category-defining brands across spices and snacks. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly creative, tech-savvy Graphic Designer who can bring our brands to life across digital, retail and large-format environments. This role is for a visual storyteller who combines strong design fundamentals with modern tools, speed and precision. You will take projects from concept to final production-ready execution – across both digital and physical platforms.
Role Overview
The Creative Graphic Designer will own the visual execution of campaigns, packaging, digital content and large-scale branding assets. You must be equally comfortable designing a premium pack, editing a high-energy Reel and preparing a billboard for print.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, consistent brand identity across digital, print and retail platforms
- Design high-impact social media graphics and digital advertising assets
- Shoot and edit short-form video content – Reels, TikToks and product ads
- Create motion graphics to enhance storytelling and product presentation
- Design Out-of-Home assets including billboards, wall branding, vehicle wraps and point-of-sale materials
- Ensure technical precision for large-format and packaging production
- Leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and creative output
- Support photography sessions and perform professional photo retouching
- Collaborate with innovation and marketing teams on new product launch campaigns
- Use cloud-based tools to manage assets, track timelines and maintain structured reporting
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years professional design experience, ideally within FMCG or an advertising agency
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Proven experience in packaging design, typography and video editing
- Strong understanding of large-format print production requirements
- Hands-on experience with AI design tools such as Midjourney, Firefly or similar
- Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace – Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides
- A strong, well-curated online portfolio is mandatory
