Job Summary
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, diagnostics, testing, calibrating and repair of medical equipment. This also includes training and being our clients’ technical point of contact.
- Double-up in a sales capacity and be responsible for carrying out the business development involved in the initiation and maintenance of service contracts with new and existing clients and the sale of medical consumables and medical equipment.
Responsibilities
Technical
- Installing, maintaining and repairing medical equipment.
- Cleaning and adjusting medical equipment
- Testing and calibrating equipment parts to determine what needs repair or replacement.
- Demonstrating biomedical equipment and teaching others how to use it.
- Keeping records of all maintenance and repairs.
- Providing technical information on how to operate medical equipment.
- Seeking and maintaining service contracts with clients.
- Using computers, software and electronic tools to repair medical equipment.
Sales
- Relationship building with the target clients
- Making visits to the concerned decision-makers (medical practitioners and any other concerned parties)
- Promotion of products in various hospitals, chemists and clinics
- Making tender applications to various institutions
- Making collections from assigned clients
Required Attributes
- Graduate-level education
- Proven experience as a biomedical technician
- Proven experience in medical sales
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills
- Technology skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Effective communicator
- Exceptional customer service focus
- Strong interpersonal skills
