Key Responsibilities
- Operational Coordination: Arrange vehicles, drivers, routes, and delivery timelines efficiently.
Optimize resource utilization (e.g., improve vehicle loading rates). - Process Management: Execute transportation, loading/unloading, and exception-handling procedures.
Operate TMS logistics systems for real-time tracking and task assignment. - Problem Resolution: Address unexpected events (e.g., delays, reassignments, or urgent insertions) promptly.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Apply basic data analysis skills (time efficiency, cost analysis) to refine operations.
- Compliance & Accountability: Maintain meticulous work standards, strong responsibility, and execution discipline.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Experience: More than 3 years of logistics/transportation related experience.
- Skills:
- Resource Coordination: Ability to balance multiple demands and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Communication: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills for internal/external collaboration.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with road networks in Western Kenya (Kisumu-centric) is preferred.
