Technical Sales Engineer Job (40K)
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within assigned markets.
- Generate and follow up on sales leads to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Conduct client visits, presentations, product demonstrations, and technical consultations.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tender documents.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and commercial agreements with customers.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts.
Technical Support & Solution Selling
- Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable electrical products and solutions.
- Provide technical guidance on electrical distribution systems, power systems, instrumentation, and related applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet client specifications.
- Support customers during product selection, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical safety standards and industry regulations.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and technical concerns.
- Conduct regular customer reviews to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Gather market feedback and provide recommendations to management on product improvements and new opportunities.
- Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and networking activities to promote the company’s offerings.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Track quotations, orders, deliveries, and project progress to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to company procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven success in technical sales, B2B engineering sales, or industrial business development.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, power systems, instrumentation, and electrical safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and develop new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
- Valid driving license will be an added advantage.
