POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Pharmaceutical Technologist is responsible for dispensing medication to patients, managing information on drugs, Stock taking and compliance.
LOCATION: BUSIA, CHARANGANY & NAIROBI
Essential Responsibilities:
Support in donor specific audits and other program implementation reviewsReceiving, Interpreting and processing prescriptions
Recording prescriptions in a pharmacy Unit, Pre-packing, repacking and writing instructions on labels
Counseling patients on usage of drugs in the pharmacy unit
Receiving and verification of drugs
Maintaining drug register/books and stock tacking of drugs and medical equipment on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Responding to requests of the patients and healthcare providers
Complying with rules, regulations and procedures in the pharmacy unit.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical technology from a recognized institution
- Enrolled by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
- Valid practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poison’s Board
- At least 3 years of Experience
- Current Certificate of good conduct
Key Competencies:
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate
COMPENSATION:
Compensation is dependent upon on qualifications and experience. Buckner Kenya offers a competitive benefit package.
