MGA Schools is recruiting for an Operations Intern to support the smooth functioning of daily school activities. This full-time internship position is based in Kenya and offers hands-on experience in school operations management. You will work alongside the operations team to ensure that administrative, logistical, and facility-related processes run without disruption.
The Operations Intern at MGA Schools will be integral to maintaining the operational standards that allow the school to focus on its core educational mission. This role suits candidates seeking practical exposure to how educational institutions manage their resources, staff coordination, and day-to-day logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operations team in managing daily administrative tasks and ensuring all activities proceed on schedule
- Assist with inventory management, tracking supplies, and coordinating procurement requests
- Help maintain school facilities and coordinate maintenance schedules with external service providers
- Support staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage for all operational functions
- Maintain records and documentation related to school operations and compliance requirements
- Respond to operational queries from staff and assist with problem-solving on routine matters
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as directed by the operations management team
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a diploma or degree programme in business administration, facilities management, or a related field
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels
- Willingness to learn school operations procedures and systems
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- A basic understanding of health, safety, and compliance standards in institutional settings is an advantage
