Role Description

The Legal and Compliance Audit Expert will be responsible for conducting thorough audits to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Key duties include reviewing organizational policies, analyzing risk factors, preparing detailed compliance reports, and advising on regulatory updates and requirements. The role requires collaboration with various departments for the effective implementation of compliance measures. This is a contract-based, on-site position located in Nairobi County, Kenya.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of legal compliance standards, regulations, and audit methodologies.
• Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and drafting compliance audit reports.
• Experience in evaluating organizational policies and developing recommendations for improvement.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to identify compliance gaps and issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFE) are a plus.
• Proven experience in legal or financial compliance audits, preferably in a consulting or corporate environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying potential risks or inefficiencies.
