Role Summary
This position is responsible for our daily operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and personnel using both motor vehicle and motorcycle as
assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Sacco Van and assigned motorcycle.
- Maintain vehicle and motorcycle cleanliness at all times.
- Make reports of any vehicle and motorcycle defects to the accountant.
- Maintain work tickets for vehicle and motorcycle assigned and hand over reports whenever there is change.
- Driving vehicle and motorcycle as authorized.
- Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle and motorcycle on and off the road.
- Ensuring safety of passengers and/or goods therein in the vehicle and motorcycle.
- Read and interpret maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service.
- Present safety briefing to passengers prior to each trip departure.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, vehicle and motorcycle maintenance, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and
- other records.
- Fuel assigned vehicle and motorcycle as well as undertake minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle and motorcycle as required/before travel.
- Coordinate the schedule for vehicle and motorcycle maintenance with staff to minimize service interruptions.
- Observe all traffic rules and signs.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor which may include driving of other vehicles.
Qualifications
- O-level education
- Government Trade Test Grade III or Grade 2 Mechanics, with minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar position
- Valid accident-free driving license Class B, C, E with a minimum of 3 years of longdistance and off-road driving experience
- Ability to ride a motorcycle safely and confidently for official assignments
- Knowledge and experience in vehicle maintenance and repairs
