Key Responsibilities
- Create, schedule, and manage content across all OwnTheJoke social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and Facebook
- Develop engaging visual and written content that aligns with the brand voice: sarcastic, observational, and culturally relevant
- Plan and execute a consistent content calendar with a daily posting cadence
- Monitor social media engagement, respond to comments and messages, and build community around the brand
- Identify trending topics, sounds, and formats to create timely, shareable content
- Collaborate with the sales and design teams to support product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns
- Shoot and edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks) featuring products in real-world contexts
- Track content performance using platform analytics and present insights weekly
- Research and propose influencer collaborations, brand partnerships, and user-generated content strategies
- Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all digital touchpoints
Qualifications & Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Film, or a related creative field
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging content for social media (personal or professional accounts)
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and X (Twitter) algorithms, formats, and best practices
- Proficiency in basic photo and video editing tools (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Spark, or similar)
- Excellent written communication skills with a natural flair for humour and storytelling
- Access to a smartphone with a good camera and a laptop for content editing and scheduling
