Blooming Africa is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant to manage financial operations for a crop project. The role involves tracking project costs, ensuring financial accountability, and supporting decision-making through accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project budgets for production.
• Monitor and control costs related to planting, inputs, labor, and harvesting.
• Maintain accurate financial records specific to the project.
• Conduct cost analysis and profitability reporting per crop cycle.
• Oversee procurement records and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
• Prepare periodic financial reports (weekly, monthly, seasonal).
• Support audits and ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements.
• Work closely with the General Manager to align financial planning with production targets.
• Monitor inventory usage (fertilizers, chemicals, bulbs, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (K) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 year experience in accounting, preferably in agriculture or horticulture.
• Experience in cost accounting or project accounting is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• High level of integrity and accountability.
