Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 34,420 – Ksh. 46,120 p.m. (CSG 11/Job Group ‘J’)
House Allowance: As per government rate per region.
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 4,000 p.m.
Leave Allowance: Ksh. 4,000 p.a.
Annual Leave: 30 working days p.a.
Medical Cover: As provided by the Government
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

  • Diploma in Technical Education or Diploma in Education in Science Laboratory Technology or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized Institution;

OR

  • Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology or equivalent and relevant qualification; and a
  • Diploma in Education/ Diploma Technical Trainer Education from a recognized Institution;

OR

  • Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology or equivalent and relevant qualification
  • Be licensed by TVET Authority or meet the requirement for licensing by TVETA
  • Be a member of a relevant professional body (where applicable).

Applications are invited from qualified Degree/Higher National Diploma (HND) holders for the positions of Vocational and Technical Trainers (CSG 10/JG K); and Diploma holders for the positions of Assistant Vocational and Technical Trainer II (CSG 11/Job Group J) available in the following Public Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institutions as indicated:

  • Interested and qualified persons are requested to submit their applications directly to the Institutions where vacancies exist by filling ONE (1) PSC 2 (Revised 2016) application form and attaching copies of National ID card, academic and professional certificates, transcripts and any other testimonials. The form may be downloaded from the Commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke
  • It is an offence to include incorrect information in the application.
  • Applicants currently working under Governing Council/Board of Governors are encouraged to apply.
