Job Purpose:
- The Supplier Development Officer is responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships, driving category sourcing strategies, and identifying new business opportunities to support Kilimall’s growth. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to support product development, supplier performance, and campaign preparation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage top brands and suppliers.
- Drive business category sourcing strategies and cost-saving initiatives to meet company goals.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Provide insights for product development and ensure competitive market positioning.
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine the most viable and cost-effective supplier partnerships.
- Meet potential suppliers to present company offerings, negotiate business deals, and close agreements.
- Ensure excellent client experience through effective communication during pre-deal and post-deal processes.
- Prepare and submit proposals to vendors and negotiate pricing for campaign preparations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Prior experience in purchasing, sourcing, or resource development is preferred.
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and self-driven.
- Proactive with strong responsibility and ability to work independently.
- Well-organized and able to thrive under pressure.
- Proven experience in effective supplier/vendor negotiation.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Creative and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
