Our client is a food and beverage brand in Nairobi known for delivering high-quality bubble tea and creative beverage experiences. With a focus on consistency, customer satisfaction, and innovation, the brand is looking to hire a hands-on and proactive Store Supervisor to support its retail operations.

The Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations at the branch, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining records related to sales, inventory, and compliance. Preferred candidates should have practical experience in barista roles or working in dynamic F&B outlets or kitchens.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

• Schedule staff shifts and monitor attendance
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
• Train and guide staff in drink preparation and equipment handling
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Supervise opening, mid-shift, and closing duties
• Oversee staff welfare and monthly NSSF filings

Financial Management:

• Supervise store cash handling and perform cashiering duties when needed
• Manage customer orders (in-store and through delivery apps such as Glovo and Bolt)
• Reconcile daily sales against receipts across all platforms
• Record sales in the KRA portal and maintain accurate cash register entries
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly revenues and expenses

Customer Service & Environment:

• Maintain a clean, friendly, and inviting customer-facing area
• Guide staff in resolving customer issues and ensuring top-notch service
• Recommend new menu items based on customer feedback and trends

Inventory & Reporting:

• Oversee daily opening/closing stock checks and stock-taking routines
• Maintain detailed records: attendance, ingredient use, wastage, and consumption
• Ensure the latest recipe book is followed consistently
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance and inventory reports

Administration:

• Ensure all team members hold valid food handler certificates
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards
• Ensure store opens/closes on time without delays
• Liaise with landlords and service providers for licenses, permits, and maintenance needs

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Candidates must have prior experience as a barista, or in food and beverage outlets or kitchen operations—preferably in bubble tea or café environments.
• We also welcome candidates with a background in pastry or baking.
• Previous experience supervising a small team is an added advantage
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Good record-keeping and reporting skills
• Computer literacy (Excel, basic POS system usage)
• Must be hands-on, reliable, and willing to work weekends/public holidays
• Valid food handler certificate (or ready to obtain one)
