Services Engineer (Electrical) Job

A busy Architectural/Construction Firm is looking for a Services Engineer who can carry out both electrical functions in different projects. He/she will be responsible for the timely execution of MEP site activities as per the approved drawings, supervision of Contractors and subcontractors on site, Supervision of all the MEP installation, testing & commissioning, among other duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the Design & drawings of the Electrical systems
- Assist in the Preparation of the contract admission documents from the conceptual phase to the project completion phase, i.e., Electrical Design approach documents, Bill of Quantities, Tender Documents, Tender evaluation reports, among other documents.
- Attending Site meetings & consultative meetings.
- Assist the Quantity surveyors in measurement & cost evaluation of the Electrical services.
- Supervision of the electrical installations.
- Compile material schedules/ requisitions and support the rest of the project team in material certification and procurement for the Electrical works.
- Quality control for Electrical services works in all sites.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya.
- Registered as a Corporate Member with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya.
- Proficiency in design software that includes but is not limited to AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP & Revit.
- Experience with Projects of different sizes, complexity, and contractual types.
- Minimum 6 years of work experience on similar projects.
- Good knowledge of MEP design standards, guidelines, and subcontractors’ Terms and Conditions
- Result-Oriented.
- Strong leadership/interpersonal skills.
- Positive Attitude
- Good communication skills/a problem Solver.
- Computer-literate and well conversant with project scheduling.
- Highly flexible.
