Job Purpose Statement
The Senior Sales Trader role combines deep client relationships with strong execution expertise. The candidate will be expected to focus on prospecting, engaging, and converting leads and executing equities trades on behalf of retail and institutional customers. The successful candidate will be good with working under pressure and will identify optimal trading opportunities leading to best execution. This role demands analytical acumen, risk management, attention to detail, an ability to deal with high pressure and fast paced environments, and strong relationship with the buyside.
Additionally, they must be good at problem solving to ensure clients have a seamless experience. The candidate must have experience working on with institutional investors local or foreign or both. The role holder will be instrumental in driving revenue generation and achieving market share objectives for NCBA IB- Brokerage.

Job Specifications
Academic & Professional
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or any other acceptable degree from a recognized University.
- Certification by NSE for ATS, Avvento and Derivatives Trading
- CISI Level III
- ICIFA Membership.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Proficiency in the use of Bloomberg.
Desired work experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of institutional equities trading with institutional investors both local and foreign.
- Experience in handling complex instructions/orders for investors.
- Experience handling accounts for high-net-worth individuals would also be of benefit
- Deep knowledge of the Capital Markets.
- Existing relationships with the local and regional asset managers.
- Proficiency in the use of Bloomberg.
- Good writing and communication skills.
