Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  • Preparing service contracts and service level agreements for outsourced services;
  • Forecasting needs for equipment and facilities;
  • Ensuring prompt payments in respect of all outsources services;
  • Facilitating staff functions;
  • Preparing inventory of the assets (vehicles, office equipment and furniture);
  • Allocating office space;
  • Supervising office partitioning and fittings;
  • Facilitating renewal of lease for office space;
  • Receiving and reviewing invoices in respect of administrative services; and
  • Supervising outsourced services.

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –

  • Served for a minimum period of four (4) years
  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Public/Business Administration, Transport and Logistics, Political Science, Sociology or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate in Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Proficiency in computer applications;
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

  • Successful candidates will be required to submit the following compliance documents prior to issuance of appointment letters, in accordance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (2010):
  • Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
  • Clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
  • Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) clearance report.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
