As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll play a key role in driving business growth by generating qualified opportunities with high-potential SMB companies. You will be the first point of contact for potential customers, engaging decision-makers through tailored outreach and booking meetings for New Business Account Executives. This role is ideal for someone confident, organised, and motivated to succeed in a high-activity sales environment. We are looking for candidates from Kenya, South Africa, Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire who speak Dutch and or German fluently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality outbound outreach to SMB accounts through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn.
- Call and email high-potential SMB accounts pre-selected by the team.
- Engage with decision-makers to understand their business needs, qualify interest, and secure meetings for the sales team.
- Manage outreach performance using CRM and sales tools (e.g. Salesforce, LinkedIn).
- Accurately capture call outcomes, notes, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
- Meet weekly and quarterly KPIs for call volume, meetings booked, pipeline contribution, and engagement rates.
- Continuously learn and improve communication, efficiency, and sales processes.
Key Requirements
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Strong communication skills with clear articulation and active listening.
- Proven experience in B2B outreach, telesales, or lead generation.
- Confidence when speaking to new people, presenting solutions, and qualifying business needs.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), and LinkedIn.
- Professionalism, self-discipline, and motivation to work remotely with a high-activity mindset.
- Ability to work independently while consistently meeting sales targets.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to communicate clearly and follow up consistently.
- Understanding of sales targets, KPIs, and performance-driven environments.
- Willingness and ability to learn sales tools and adapt to new processes quickly.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Prior experience booking meetings for a sales team in an SDR/BDR role.
- Exposure to SaaS, banking, payments, or financial services.
- Familiarity with SMB industries such as Retail, Services, Real Estate, or Education.
