We are looking for a driven and relationship-oriented Sales Executive for our Food Service Division to strengthen our presence in the HORECA and B2B segment. This role is field-focused and requires someone who understands the dynamics of the hospitality industry, procurement cycles, and long-term customer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales growth within the food service (HORECA) and B2B customer base in Nairobi and assigned upcountry territories.
  • Identify, develop, and onboard new hotel, restaurant, café, catering, and institutional clients.
  • Grow existing accounts through range expansion, upselling, and improved distribution.
  • Execute sales targets, volume objectives, and strategic priorities in line with company goals.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with chefs, procurement teams, F&B managers, owners, and key decision-makers.
  • Act as a trusted partner to customers by understanding their operational needs and recommending suitable solutions.
  • Ensure excellent customer service, follow-ups, and issue resolution in coordination with internal teams.

Field Sales & Market Execution

  • Conduct regular field visits in Nairobi and periodic upcountry travel for sales calls, customer meetings, and market development.
  • Strong knowledge of the country to plan effective routes and identify growth opportunities.
  • Use strong research skills to identify prospective customers, understand market segments, and track industry trends.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor pricing, promotions, and product presence, and feed insights back into the business.

Sales Administration & Systems

  • Accurately process orders, quotations, and customer data using ERP systems such as Odoo, Zoho, or similar platforms.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records, pricing, credit terms, and sales reports.
  • Provide timely sales forecasts, activity reports, and market feedback to management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams including operations, finance, marketing, and supply chain to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Contribute positively to a team-oriented, performance-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in B2B sales, with strong preference for HORECA / food service experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a field sales role.
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, food service operations, and procurement processes.
  • Experience using ERP or CRM systems such as Odoo, Zoho, or similar.
  • Comfortable with technology and quick to adopt new digital tools and systems.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel upcountry for field sales visits.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and performance-driven with strong time management skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively across different functions and levels.
