Sales Executive – Food Service (HORECA)

We work closely with hotels, restaurants, cafés, catering companies, and institutional clients, providing high-quality products supported by strong service, partnerships, and execution excellence.
We are looking for a driven and relationship-oriented Sales Executive for our Food Service Division to strengthen our presence in the HORECA and B2B segment. This role is field-focused and requires someone who understands the dynamics of the hospitality industry, procurement cycles, and long-term customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales growth within the food service (HORECA) and B2B customer base in the Coast region and assigned territories.
- Identify, develop, and onboard new hotel, restaurant, café, catering, and institutional clients.
- Grow existing accounts through range expansion, upselling, and improved distribution.
- Execute sales targets, volume objectives, and strategic priorities in line with company goals.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with chefs, procurement teams, F&B managers, owners, and key decision-makers.
- Act as a trusted, relationship-oriented partner by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable product solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive follow-ups and effective issue resolution in collaboration with internal teams.
Field Sales & Market Execution
- Conduct regular field visits across the Coast region and periodic travel for sales calls, customer meetings, and market development.
- Strong knowledge of the region to plan effective routes and identify growth opportunities.
- Use strong research skills to identify prospective customers, understand market segments, and track industry trends.
- Monitor market activity, competitor pricing, promotions, and product presence, and feed insights back into the business.
Performance Management, Reporting & Systems
- Accurately manage orders, quotations, and customer data using ERP/CRM systems (e.g. Odoo, Zoho, or similar).
- Maintain an up-to-date and structured sales pipeline, including lead generation and conversion tracking.
- Track and report on key KPIs, including:
- New accounts opened
- Growth within existing accounts
- Product range expansion
- Customer coverage and visit frequency
- Submit weekly activity reports, monthly performance reviews, and accurate sales forecasts.
- Use data and analytics to identify trends, optimise performance, and proactively highlight risks and opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, finance, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to a collaborative, performance-driven team culture.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in B2B sales within the HORECA / food service industry (required).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a field sales role.
- Strong knowledge of the Coast region market, including key hospitality players, routes, and market dynamics.
- Established network within hotels, restaurants, cafés, or catering businesses in the Coast region is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of hospitality operations and procurement processes.
- Experience using ERP or CRM systems such as Odoo, Zoho, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into action (preferred).
- Relationship-oriented with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and performance-driven with strong time management skills.
- Comfortable with technology and quick to adopt new digital tools.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively for field sales.
