Ideal Inks & Coatings Ltd is a fast-growing Kenyan manufacturer of solvent-based and water-based printing inks for Flexographic and Gravure applications. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Control & R&D Technician with strong experience in ink formulation, testing, and continuous improvement to strengthen our technical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform product and raw material quality testing to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Support formulation improvement and product development initiatives.
• Provide technical input on cost optimization and performance enhancement opportunities.
• Investigate and document product quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production to enhance consistency and minimize waste.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date laboratory and quality records.
• Participate in customer product trials and provide technical feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company and regulatory safety and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or Applied Science.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Flexo and Gravure ink manufacturing (both solvent- and water-based systems). Paints and coatings industry experience is also acceptable.
• Proven track record in ink formulation, QC testing, and product development.
• Strong knowledge of pigment dispersion, resin selection, and solvent compatibility.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and laboratory documentation.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to process discipline.
