Duties & Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Create and maintain production schedules and timelines for all manufacturing orders.
- Monitor project progress, identify delays, and apply corrective measures to ensure on-time production.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory departments to ensure materials and supplies are available when needed.
Resource & Team Coordination
- Allocate production resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, in alignment with production demands.
- Coordinate assignments among production staff; ensure clear roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise and support production staff to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Quality Control & Assurance
- Monitor production output to ensure compliance with product specifications and company quality standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to inspect materials, manage rejects, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain production documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Process Improvement & Cost Control
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Recommend and implement process optimization initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance cost efficiency.
- Monitor production costs and suggest cost-saving opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Liaise with maintenance, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Communicate regularly with management regarding production performance, challenges, and corrective actions.
Safety, Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry guidelines, and company policies in the production area.
- Maintain production records, inventory logs, and reports accurately.
- Support administrative tasks related to production coordination (e.g., report generation, documentation, work order management).
Other Responsibilities
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related field
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management, safety standards, and inventory control
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in production coordination, operations, or related manufacturing roles
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and multitasking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other tools for production planning and data handling
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) for coordination across teams
- Analytical and problem-solving capability, especially with production data and workflow challenges
