Brief Description
- The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, receiving, storing, and distributing goods and services needed to support Crystal Tours Kenya’s safari and travel operations. This includes handling supplies for vehicles, camping gear, office operations, marketing materials, and guest amenities. The role ensures timely availability of quality supplies, accurate inventory records, compliance with procurement policies, and efficient disposal of obsolete items. A strong focus on supplier relationships, cost-effectiveness, integrity, and operational excellence is essential.Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure goods and services as per approved purchase requests, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders and supplier invoices.
- Post receipts and maintain accurate procurement and inventory records to facilitate timely payments.
- Store and organize supplies securely for easy retrieval, safety, and accountability.
- Distribute non-stock goods to relevant teams (operations, sales, guides) promptly.
- Maintain proper documentation when issuing supplies to staff or field teams.
- Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock takes to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
- Prepare weekly procurement and inventory reports for management review.
- Coordinate the disposal of obsolete, damaged, or excess inventory in line with company policy.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for the company.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or Business Administration.
- Proven experience in procurement or warehouse operations, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or logistics sector.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management systems.
Skills & Competencies

- High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
