Procurement Assistant Job Biofarms

The overall purpose of this job is to ensure accurate and updated documentation of stock. He/she will work closely with finance and accounts team to monitor stock movements while ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
Reporting
Reporting to the Administration Officer or his/her designate, the job holder will be responsible for the following;

- Align all procurement documents from Purchase requisition, justification notes, purchase orders, supplier delivery notes, invoices, and GRNs and pass them to finance for posting and payments
- Maintain up-to-date procurement records and filing
- Update internal databases with stocks in store for proper monitoring of stocks movement
- Maintain updated records of invoices from suppliers and service providers
- Making phone calls to suppliers to get prevailing market prices of produce
- Communicating with suppliers for arrangement of deliveries
- Weekly stock reconciliation both raw materials and parked
- Maintaining reorder levels of packaging materials
- Maintaining reorder levels of packaging materials
- Any other duty as may assigned from time to time
Education, Knowledge & Experience Academic Qualifications:
- Diploma in procurement and logistics
Work Experience
- At least 2 years’ previous experience in similar / related functions in procurement
- Good computer skills with advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
