Valley Hospital is a leading Level 4 hospital in Nakuru City offering both inpatient and outpatient services and is seeking to recruit a Payables Accountant to join our finance team.

The role is essential in ensuring efficient, timely, and accurate processing of payments for all supplier invoices, contractor bills, and other financial obligations. This position plays a key role in maintaining the hospital’s financial integrity by enforcing internal controls and supporting accurate financial reporting

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field or CPA (K) qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a medium to large organization.
• Proficient in accounting software.

Key Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
• Proficient in matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and resolve payment queries professionally.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet payment deadlines.
• Strong understanding of compliance, tax guidelines, and audit requirements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
