Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient medical care
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses
- Perform medical procedures within scope of practice
- Admit, review, and discharge patients appropriately
- Participate in emergency and on-call duties as scheduled
- Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health policies and clinical guidelines
- Participate in clinical audits, CMEs, and quality improvement activities
- Supervise and mentor interns, clinical officers, and nursing staff where applicable
- Promote patient safety, ethics, and confidentiality at all times
- Perform any other duties as assigned by hospital management
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized institution
- Registered with the KMPDC
- Valid practicing license
- Completion of internship is mandatory
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years post-internship experience
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
