Job Description
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests with precision and accuracy.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain modern diagnostic equipment (including immunochemiluminescence analyzers).
- Ensure compliance with internal quality control (IQC), external quality assessment schemes (EQAS) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate actively in workflow optimization, audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of results.
- Uphold biosafety, biosecurity, and infection prevention protocols.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- A diploma or Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution.
- Valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy, quality-focused medical laboratory.
- Proficiency in operating modern diagnostic platforms (hematology, clinical chemistry, immunoassays, and POC testing).
