Job Description:
The Marketing Officer – Social Media will be responsible for managing KTB’s social media presence and leveraging digital platforms to promote Kenya as a preferred travel destination.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage social media campaigns across platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging and brand-consistent content.
- Monitor, track, and report on key performance indicators across digital campaigns.
- Engage with online audiences, respond to inquiries, and manage feedback.
- Collaborate with content creators, influencers, and partners to amplify campaigns.
- Stay updated with social media trends and integrate innovative strategies.
- Ensure all social media activity aligns with the broader marketing strategy.
- Support live coverage of events, launches, and promotional initiatives.
Key Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Commerce (Marketing Option) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution – OR – Bachelor’s Degree in any of the followings; Tourism Management, Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution with a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from a recognized institution
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight,Omniture, Web, Trends)
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and
- constraints
- Member of a relevant professional body
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
