Marketing Manager Job

The Folklore is searching for a Digital Marketing Manager to lead the execution of our social, content, and email strategy. This individual will oversee the creation of content that will help grow our brand membership. This role is a key part of the company’s marketing team and will have a significant impact on the company’s membership subscription revenue and member retention. The Marketing Manager will directly report to the CEO and collaborate with part time freelancers to oversee and execute on all marketing initiatives across the company.

Social Media

  • Manage publishing and community engagement across our B2B and D2C social media channels
  • Pitch ideas for content calendar for Meta, Tiktok, LinkedIn, Youtube, and across other social media channels
  • Conceptualize and create original content and publish across all social media channels
  • Engage and interact with accounts on social media through responding to messages and comments
  • Track social media performance and augment based on results


Web Content

  • Pitch ideas to leadership for content calendar for our blogs and knowledge center
  • Conceptualize, write, and construct blog posts and optimize for SEO
  • Conceptualize, write, and construct content for our knowledge center
  • Make updates to our websites to ensure our brand messaging and design is consistent and up to date according to new releases and company updates.
  • Ensure all membership and product features are being highlighted in the best way possible across our platforms through the creation of graphics, video, and imagery.

Email Marketing

  • Pitch ideas to leadership for our email marketing campaigns
  • Conceptualize, write, and construct email campaigns
  • Segmentation of multiple audiences and crafting unique email campaigns for the key segments
  • Updating and creating emails content for automated trigger emails

Team Management

  • Provide briefs to freelance designers to create assets that fit with our overall brand image and messaging and product offering
  • Source and book photo and video talent to capture photos at in person events or for other content production shoots
  • Hire and manage marketing interns each semester

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of full time experience in digital marketing
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • 5+ years of social media content creation and optimization experience, with strong emphasis on Tikok and Instagram
  • 5+ years of experience with creating and sending email campaigns
  • 5+ years of web content writing experience
  • 3+ years of startup or small business experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of SEO experience
  • Experience in commerce enablement or e-commerce SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with marketing to small fashion, beauty, lifestyle consumer goods businesses
  • Familiarity with the specific needs and challenges of small business owners in adopting B2B software solutions.
  • Experience in retail, fashion, beauty or design industries
