Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking to hire a competent and experienced Maintenance Shift Engineer to oversee and execute electrical maintenance, installation, and improvement projects within the production plant. The ideal candidate will ensure that all electrical systems and equipment are operating at optimal performance and comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective electrical maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in production machinery, control panels, and power systems.
- Ensure minimal downtime of equipment through timely intervention and proactive diagnostics.
- Supervise electrical installations and commissioning of new machinery.
- Work closely with mechanical, production, and safety teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain and update electrical schematics, drawings, and documentation.
- Enforce electrical safety standards and best practices across the plant.
- Monitor energy usage and drive initiatives for energy optimization and cost savings.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts, upgrades, and service support.
- Support continuous improvement and automation projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, drives, PLCs, and automation controls.
- Strong understanding of power distribution, motor control systems, and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostic tools and software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Sound knowledge of electrical safety regulations and compliance.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
