About the Role:

Alonso Law P.A. is seeking a Legal Research & Writing Assistant to support the development of a legal textbook focused on environmental law. Subject-matter expertise in environmental law is not required. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to review legal content, verify citations, and conduct case law and statutory research.

Responsibilities:

• Review draft chapters for clarity, structure, and accuracy.
• Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and secondary sources.
• Verify and format legal citations according to standard guidelines.
• Provide editorial feedback on flow, readability, and organization.
• Proofread for grammar, consistency, and legal terminology.

Qualifications:

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret legal texts and sources. We’ll be sending candidates with experience in these platforms: LexisNexis and Westlaw 1-2 years of experience. This is must, no-negotiable.
• Detail-oriented and reliable.
• Excellent written communication in English.
• No specific years of experience required
