Junior Project Coordinator NGO Job Kuehne Climate Center

Job Purpose

Are you looking for a meaningful role that challenges you to learn, grow, and make a difference? This is not your average entry-level coordination job it’s a chance to work at the heart of climate and logistics transformation across East Africa.

As Junior Project Coordinator, you’ll be part of the Kuehne Climate Center (KCC)’s dynamic East Africa team. You’ll support the delivery of four pioneering program lines from green freight to carbon removal and learn how climate-compatible logistics systems are being shaped on the ground.

The KCC is a new subsidiary of the Kuehne Foundation. As a think & do tank its mission is to accelerate climate-compatible development within and through logistics systems. We do this through applied research & thought leadership, project & advisory work, and training & capacity building, with a focus on countries of the global South.

The KCC is working with local and international partners to develop logistic systems in Africa that are low-carbon, climate resilient, and advance climate action. This includes the implementation of a Green Freight Support Programme in Eastern Africa, projects to support freight electrification, strengthening the carbon dioxide removal ecosystem, and active engagement in multi-stakeholder alliances. Key partners include regional corridor authorities, development organisations, companies, and universities.
